Fully recovered from a massive crash at the previous round, BimmerWorld is ready for Round 5 at Lime Rock Park.

The #80 car sustained rear-end damage at VIR, which set into motion almost a month of repair work to get the car ready for Lime Rock.

Bumps, bruises and a seriously bent BMW have all been healed in the month since the BimmerWorld/GearWrench team last raced, and with the next round of the GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Championship this weekend at Lime Rock Park, the Dublin, VA.-based team is ready to get out of the shop and back onto the race track.

Overcoming a massive practice crash, quickly preparing a new car, and a daring race strategy call were just a few of the highlights on the way to an amazing finish at the team's home track.

The two BimmerWorld/Gearwrench cars started back in the field but strategy, consistency and some luck led to a strong finish.

Due to contact on Thursday’s test day, the #80 BimmerWorld/GearWrench car was out of commission. Luckily, RRT Racing came through with a backup car for the weekend.

If BimmerWorld’s maiden season in the GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge was the subject of a reality show, viewers of the series would agree that each episode keeps getting better and better.

After three rounds of impressive results for the rookie Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge team, BimmerWorld looks forward to racing at home at Virginia International Raceway.

Just as stick-and-ball sports teams look to their own stadiums and arenas for home field advantages, racing teams are no different. As Dublin, Va.-based BimmerWorld visits their home track at Virginia International Raceway this weekend for Round 4 of the GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge, the team hopes to enjoy a similar advantage.

Top GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge team takes 5th and 6th after starting from pole and leading during the caution-filled race in Birmingham, AL.

Team earns its first ST-class pole position in just its third race in the series with rookie David White behind the wheel
White and co-driver James Clay take fifth at the finish, followed closely by the sister BMW E90 of Seth Thomas and Bill Heumann in sixth
Thomas and Heumann leave Barber second in drivers points, White and Clay moved up to 11th and BimmerWorld/GearWrench maintains second in team points
