BimmerWorld Racing Announces Return to Pirelli GT4 America Championship for 2025 Season: Jan 13, 2025
BimmerWorld Racing is thrilled to announce its return to the Pirelli GT4 America Championship for the 2025 season in SRO Motorsports America, featuring two BMW Motorsport G82 M4 GT4s.
The driver lineup will remain unchanged from 2024, with James Clay and Charlie Postins piloting the No. 36 OPTIMA Batteries / Lifeline Fire & Safety Systems USA BMW G82 M4 GT4. After four podium finishes, including three wins, the 2024 season had its fair share of strong results. However, a string of bad luck beyond their control ultimately placed them outside the championship chase. Reflecting on the season after their win at Indy, Postins stated that it was “the launchpad for whatever we do next year,” signaling a desire to leave 2024 behind and focus on the momentum of a win heading into 2025.
James Walker, Jr. will be entering his sixth season with BimmerWorld Racing, with Tyler McQuarrie returning for his third year in the No. 82 Red Line Oil BMW M4 GT4. Like the No. 36 team, the 2024 season for Walker, Jr. and McQuarrie was a mix of highs and lows. After securing a win at Sonoma in the opening race, a series of unfortunate contacts and circumstances kept them from earning crucial championship points. A significant victory at COTA helped energize the team, but despite their best efforts, they were unable to overcome the challenges and fight for the title. With 2024 now in the rearview mirror, Walker, Jr. and McQuarrie are entering 2025 with renewed determination, ready to keep the No. 82 car at the front of the field throughout the season.
